Pumptracks Tools for Use

Pump tracks were first built primarily for cycling use, and although other sports equipment has gained a huge following, bikes are still the mainstay on wave courses, and most users are cyclists.

MTB bicycle

Our trails are built to be ridden with even the lowest category of bikes, but there are some technical parameters that can make you really fast on the pump track.

Rigid-tailed bikes (without rear telescopic rear wheel) are recommended, as the rear telescopic rear wheel absorbs the energy gained from the pumping motion. Although the fastest riders often rely on front and rear rigid bikes, the use of a front telescope is also recommended for an advanced user as it can help absorb minor errors, reducing the risk of a crash.

BMX

BMX freestyle and BMX cross bikes are also extremely fast on the trails, as they are extremely agile in corners due to their smaller wheels and shorter wheelbase.

Children’s bicycle

For children, a pedal bike is recommended as it provides the perfect foundation for crank bikes and a safe experience for youngsters.

Skateboarding

As there are very few skateboard parks in our country, skateboarding is a popular sport for training on our pump tracks. Our tracks are designed to provide maximum enjoyment for smaller wheeled sports equipment. Of all the skateboards, longboards are the most recommended for pump track use, as their larger size, softer wheels and increased leaning ability allow for higher speeds. While skateboards are designed for trick riding, longboards are designed for comfortable cruising.

Scooter, Roller skates

Scooters and roller skates are also popular sports equipment on pump tracks because their small size makes them easy to handle and their simple construction makes them a cheaper alternative to other sports equipment. They have fewer moving parts, which not only reduces the purchase price but also makes them easier to maintain.
